Glyncorrwg Action Glyncorrwg

How much more for Afan Valley?

Once again our villages in the Upper Afan Valley (Cymmer, Croeserw, Glyncorrwg) are in the news concerning wind farms.

We only hope that this time the planning department and its members will listen to the people and not the politicians and wind farm fatcats.

There are plans to erect 10 603ft turbines on Mynydd Gelli, which is directly in front of our village of Croeserw.

What if anything happens, eg: bits flying off, ice being thrown off the turbines’ wings?

Rhodri Morgan has said that he is now going to listen, so let’s hope that you – the planners in Neath Port Talbot – will do the same.

We are not against change as you should know – we already have 16 turbines here which, by the way, you can see from Mumbles.

Yes we are for the saving of our planet, but against the destroying of our valley and villages.
