Labour party members in Glyncorrwg have re-selected Glyn Rawlings as their candidate for next year's Neath Port Talbot Council elections.
He was chosen following a ballot of all party members living within the area.
Mr Rawlings, who lives in Sunnybank in the heart of the ward, is a longstanding councillor, well known in the community. He held the seat in 2004, polling 352 votes, 69 per cent of all those cast.
Councillor Rawlings said: "Glyncorrwg is a great place to live, but there are also a lot of issues in our area.. I have spent my time as a councillor listening to what residents have to say and I share their priorities for clamping down on crime, improving access to health and other important services and preserving the fantastic landscape that surrounds us."
Aberavon AM Brian Gibbons added: "Glyn is an excellent hard-working councillor of the highest integrity."
